From the Big Screen to IT Support
Before joining Info Advantage, Mike spent 25 years in customer service — but not in the way you’d expect! He managed movie theaters, including a decade as a senior manager at Rochester’s No. 1 theater, Cinemark Tinseltown. In that role, he even worked with IA for special movie premiere events, which gave him a firsthand look at the company’s culture and leadership. When the opportunity arose to transition into a role that combined his customer service expertise with a more structured schedule, he jumped at the chance — and hasn’t had a bad day since!
A Day in the Life at IA
As a Client Success Representative, Mike likes to think of himself as a Swiss Army Knife —the first stop for clients when they have issues or questions. He prides himself on being a pillar of consistency, ensuring that even if he doesn’t have the answer, he knows how to find it — and fast! His favorite part of the job? Getting out of the office and meeting clients and seeing their excitement when they realize they have a dedicated person to reach out to.

- Childhood Dream Job: Radio show host (luckily, podcasts keep that dream alive!)
- Hobbies: Suffering as a dedicated Buffalo Bills and Sabres fan, collecting kitschy nonsense, embracing his Cool Uncle status, and indulging in all things comics and video games.
- Most Admired Person: While he could say something like Josh Allen, Jeff Goldblum or late broadcasting legend Rick Jeanneret, Mike says it’s his wife, Amber, for her kindness, generosity, and humor (almost as funny as his own, he admits).
- A Unique Life Moment: Surprise Halloween wedding! Amber (dressed as Morticia Addams) and Mike (dressed as Gomez Addams) shocked guests at their Oct. 30, 2021 engagement party by getting married on the spot, officiated by a Lurch-dressed friend. Their official anniversary? Halloween, of course, because they waited until the next day to sign the paperwork.
- Superhero of Choice: A neck and neck race between Captain America and Superman.
- Favorite Book: One of his 2025 resolutions was to read more, and he is sticking to it by diving in to novels, memoirs, inspirational books and graphic novels. Dynamite’s new Space Ghost series is a current favorite, thanks to it being a nostalgic treat for fans of the original cartoon and ‘90s kids like him who loved Space Ghost Coast to Coast. (If you understood any of that, he said, you’d likely be friends.)
- Favorite Movie: Wes Anderson’s The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou starting Bill Murray. Though he admits it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, he finds the movie to be weird, sweet, funny, and oddly, action-packed.
- Favorite Place to Visit: These days? His recliner.
- Binge-Worthy TV Show: Bob’s Burgers, the ultimate comfort show.
