Employee Spotlight: Brian Moss

Brian Moss brings a people-first energy to his role at Info Advantage - and it makes perfect sense when you hear where he's been.

Before joining IA, Brian spent years in the food and beverage industry doing what he does best: connecting face-to-face with people. From there, he moved into inside and outside B2B sales across a variety of industries, juggling side hustles along the way and sharpening the kind of resilience and hustle that no classroom can teach.

Now, as a Solutions Sales Representative, Brian channels all of that experience into warmly reaching out to prospective clients via phone and email. His goal is straightforward: start a genuine conversation to find out whether a quick discussion about their current IT setup could be valuable for them - and if so, get that meeting on the calendar. No pressure, no scripts … just good conversation.

"What I like best about my role is getting to have nice conversations with people," Brian said.

That simplicity is kind of the point. In a world of noise and cold pitches, Brian leads with authenticity, and it works.

 

A little more about Brian:

If you'd asked young Brian what he wanted to be when he grew up, he'd have told you: a comedic actor. That personality still shows up.

When he's not working, Brian likes watching sports … but more importantly, is all about his three kids - Alydia, Brady and Bradley. Whether he's watching them compete in sports, dance or perform in theater, they're his favorite thing in the world.

"They are just amazing little people," he said.

They're also the people he admires most in his life.

 

Brian has lived through some extraordinary moments — including surviving Hurricane Katrina, an experience that carries a weight few can fully understand.

His superhero of choice? Superman. His favorite book? “I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell” by Tucker Max. His favorite movie? “Scarface.” His go-to binge? “Two and a Half Men.” And his ideal vacation spot? Any nice beach town - preferably with good weather.

We enjoyed another successful year at Hoag Library in no small part due to our relationship with Info Advantage. With the help of Johnathan and Linda we replaced many of our computers this year and have finally gotten all of our equipment onto a three year cycle for replacement. The installation of the new computers was handled in house knowing that if we needed help it was only a phone call away. Jeremiah was instrumental in helping us get all of the new equipment online and swapping out some other equipment with items that were at the end of life. Other times we have depended on Jacob to help us figure out why we were having problems. (an unknown power outage was one cause.) and he and Kris reset programs when we could not make successful updates. We were also unable to catalog new books when the dedicated computer went down. We sent the computer to IA , they performed “magic” and Jacob returned it and reinstalled it until our new computers came in.

In 2015, our office space was nearly a complete loss in a fire damaged building. Everything we had was either reduced to rubble or soaked with water. We had been utilizing Info Advantage for several years for maintenance of our computer network and replacement of portions of it.
