This month’s Employee Spotlight features our twin sisters, Pickles and Emmy Lou Weller—our beloved Co-Redundancy Managers. These almost two-year-old Bernedoodles came to Info Advantage after a rough start, but their story is now one filled with love, chaos, and lots of tail wags.
Left to starve, together in a crate, these two girls were rescued and taken to PAWS Animal Shelter. It was when Rikki and Michael went to rescue LoLo in Florida and bring her back to Paws in Albion in late June 2024, that Linda, Mitch, Rikki and Michael first saw these two. A week later Pickles began being fostered with Linda and Mitch and about a week after that, Emmy Lou came to live with Rikki and Michael.
By August 2024, it was official and the two became part of the Weller Poodle Squad.
These two best friends now have their own family but get to see each other whenever they want. Emmy comes to visit Pickles, at least once a week, to run around the yard and play nonstop until it is time to go home. Both Emmy and Pickles come into the office regularly, often on the same day.
It’s in the office where their two different personalities are highlighted.
Pickles at the Office vs. at Home
At the office, Pickles tends to be cautious and unsure with who to show affection with. She likes to curl up in Mitch’s office or sleep on the dog couch behind Linda’s deck … even if she’s a tad too big for it.
At home, however, is where Pickles personality shines. She is a loving, sweet and playful girl who loves sitting near her humans and getting pets. She also loves going out in the yard to rough house with Wall-e and the other poodles.
Emmy Lou at the Office vs. at Home
At work, Emmy is the life of the party, often referred to as ‘Friendly Pickles.’ She loves going up to everyone and regularly tries to steal food off counters and desks. Very curious by nature, her nose tends to get her in all kinds of trouble.
At home, Emmy loves to play with Dexter in the snow; and play fights with Chip over various toys. She loves watching her cat brother, Winnie, and follows him around the house. Her attention fluctuates between being a daddy’s and mommy’s girl and is all about whichever human she cares the most about that day.
In her mind, TV was invented for her. She loves watching, waiting to hear or see any animal on the screen. As soon as she does, you’ll know, because Emmy will continue to bark and growl until they are “gone.” Having rid the intruders, Emmy then will proudly go back to bed until the next disturbance happens. The only animal that she won’t bark at is a cow. She loves when they moo at her. And if the tv isn’t on, she still looks, often seeing her own reflection and thinking it is an intruder in needing of her barks.
